This is an inclusive program for those with or without disabilities where groups of children come to the barn to learn more about horses in a traditional day camp format. Depending upon circumstance, there may be a charge for this program.
Horse Play sessions are primarily held in the summer or school breaks. Please refer to the calendar for Horse Play dates.
Campers should wear clothes that can get dirty and wet. You may want to also bring a change of clothes. In fact, you may want to wear clothes that you can throw away after camp! Wear tennis shoes or boots. No sandals or flip flops allowed. Bring snacks and a water bottle.
To participate in Horse Play, download and complete these forms:
- Registration and Release - EVERYONE desiring to participate in our programs MUST complete this form.
- Visitor Release - EVERYONE who will be on the property of The Red Barn should complete a release. If you will just be visiting or accompanying a student, you should fill out this form. This includes anyone (siblings, parents, guardians, babysitters) that may be coming to the barn with the student.
- Health History - We would like for each student to have this form on file because it helps us to get to know your child. Some parts may not apply to all children, so just mark those as not applicable. If the student is under 19, this form should be completed by an adult that knows the student.
- Medical Release - This form must be completed by a physician or other medical professional if the student has a physical, cognitive, or emotional disability.
Once these forms are completed, please send them to us by either emailing to Joy@TheRedBarn.org, faxing to 205-278-9758, or mail to 2700 Bailey Road, Leeds, AL, 35094.
After we receive all of your forms, you’ll be placed on our mailing list to get information about participating in programs. Our programs are filling up quickly, so please get your forms in to us as soon as possible.
